AUSTIN, TX AREA ADOPTIONS ONLY

BELLA – look at that cute face!!  She is gentle and loving.  She came to our rescue as a stray, found by neighbors. That was not the first time she strayed away (so we were told). The owner was located but she ghosted us. As her foster mom, I am happy to say that Bella deserves better and is on her way to a better forever family.
She was really matted, with fleas, and overweight. Despite all these, she is healthy with no heart issues.  Off to the vet she went and also to the groomer’s.  I am working hard on her losing the extra weight, giving her low-fat food and daily walks. She is very chill and likes to “laze” around but she can also follow you around and wants to be wherever you are.  Just a loving soul who just wants as many belly rubs as she can get.  She will literally “beg” for some more when you stop.
Bella loves short walks but do not love the neighborhood dogs as much.  I am working on some leash reactivity with treats and telling her “no.”  However, she is great on the leash and enjoys being outdoors.  She even loves squeaky toys in her senior years and will play some catch with you.  She is house trained, crate trained, and understands basic commands.  As I said, she is calm and chill and suitable for a senior, or a family who wants a low-maintenance dog.  A family who is committed to her weight loss.  She is dog-friendly but do not like dogs to pounce on her or play rough.  Hence, another chill dog is preferred or no dogs at all.  Children over 5 years old.  If you have a pool, this has to be fenced or please provide safety training for Bella.
Her adoption fee of $450 includes the vet exam, dewormer, eye medication, vaccinations, rabies test, flea/tick preventatives, heartworm testing, fecal test, microchip, grooming,
