AUSTIN, TX AREA ADOPTIONS ONLY

Meet Oscar, a scruffy little sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This under-2-year-old Schnauzer mix is 25 pounds of playful charm, bursting with energy and affection. Oscar loves nothing more than romping around the yard with his foster dog siblings or tossing toys in the air just to chase them again. He’s both crate and house trained, and when the zoomies are over, he’s happiest curled up next to you, ready to rest his head and soak up the love he’s been waiting for.

Oscar has a silly streak and thrives in a home that understands his puppy-like enthusiasm and gives him gentle guidance. While he adores people, he’d do best in a calm home with children over 8, as quick grabs can startle him. He hasn’t met any cats yet, but he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. A securely fenced yard is a dream come true for this speedy guy, and he’s hoping to find an adopter in the Austin, TX area who can offer patience, understanding, and a soft place to land.

Oscar’s must-haves for his forever home:

A fenced yard

Children over 8

A patient, understanding home

Oscar would prefer a home without:

Young children

Apartment living

Oscar’s adoption fee of $350 includes his vet exam, basic vaccinations, fecal test, wormer, heartworm/tick testing, preventative, neuter, and microchip.
