Adoption Status:Available
Age:9 weeks old
Breed:Chihuahua mix
Weight:4 lbs.

Peanut looks like the tiniest one among her siblings.  She is sweet and smooth like peanut butter!!  Loves to cuddle and asks for it too.  If you are looking for a lap dog, you have found her.  Not to say that she has low energy and loves to laze around.  She plays hard with her sibling Bella who is up for adoption as well. She loves to chew or chase toys, food/treats motivated,  She listens to you if you get her attention.  I, her foster mom, am working on her basic skills training from day-to-day.  So far she has learned to use pee pads and understands the words come and no.  I believe she even knows her name.  Loves to play outside on the grass, with sister from another mother.  Peanut was surrendered to us from the Valley of Texas, and transported to Austin.  Apparently, she and her siblings were confined to a bedroom and had never left it since birth.  She was apprehensive about grass and the big backyard at first, but now she and her “sister” run and chase each other round and round.

We think that she will not be more than 12 pounds as an adult. She has had two vaccinations and awaiting a third.

Peanut’s adoption fee of $350 includes vet exam, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal and fungal tests, dewormer, heartworm preventative, microchip, and a future spay.

If you live in the Austin, TX area and are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.

Please be aware that we rarely have information on our dogs being good with cats as most of our foster homes don’t have them.

Adoption decisions are based on the best overall match and not done on a first-come-first-serve basis.
