Isn’t that the cutest little face you have ever seen?

Frankie is a little senior boy. At age 11, he has seen a lot in his life. He’s been abandoned by his family, almost starved to death in the streets, was rescued by a good samaritan who carefully fed him back to health, spent hundreds of dollars on vet care, and found him a rescue to take him in and continue his care.

Frankie has since recovered from various ailments, not least of which were bad teeth that required a number of extractions. He is at a good weight now — strong, active, happy, and loving. He loves food beyond belief, and he likes to cuddle in the night. He is OK with other dogs, but will do just fine without them, too.

Frankie will go to the door to be let out when he has to go, but wears a belly band as a safety net at night and when left alone for a while: Sometimes he needs it, sometimes he doesn’t. This works well for him and his foster home. He may suffer from a collapsing trachea, which is common in toy breeds.

He is an easy house mate with few needs. Like a trooper, he goes on hour-long hikes with his foster pack (though he walks a little slower than his younger, more leggy siblings), but he certainly will do fine with much less exercise. A lap and a bag of food will make him a happy little man.

Frankie’s adoption fee of $250 includes a vet exam, current vaccinations, heartworm test & current preventative, stool test, UTI treatment, neuter, microchip & dental surgery.

Please be aware that we rarely have information about cat compatibility as most of our foster homes don’t have cats. Adoption decisions are based on the best overall match and not done on a first-come-first-serve basis.
