Chester is always hearing what a good boy and what a sweet boy he is! He’s 100% house trained, rides great in the car, knows sit, shake, and down, is smart, treat motivated, and really wants to please! He’s also excellent on the leash – he walks on a loose leash and always stays on your left (wow)!

Chester’s favorite things include belly rubs, butt scratches, walks, car rides, and meal time. He’s a medium energy guy – he likes to go out for walks, and when he’s home, is happy to spend time sleeping on the couch.

Chester’s foster brother is a big ol’ cat, and he gets along great with him. At first he was a little unsure, but now they’re buddies! He is cautious when meeting new dogs and seems to prefer smaller dogs who aren’t too rambunctious. He’s a little nervous with bigger or more rowdy dogs.

Add to all this sweetness his little Aussie wiggle butt and who wouldn’t fall in love with him?!

Chester’s perfect home would be one that’s relatively low-key (he may get overwhelmed with younger children or rambunctious pets) where he gets to spend plenty of time with his humans, go on daily walks, and where the belly rubs and butt scratches are never in short supply.

If he seems like a good fit, please fill out an application for Chester (under the Adopt tab and Adoption Application). Once you’ve filled out an application, Chester’s foster mom will reach out within a couple days and try to schedule a phone call to find out more about what you’re looking for and answer any questions you have about him.

Chester’s adoption fee of $350.00 includes his Vet exam, up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm test & current preventative, neuter, fecal test, and microchip.

Please be aware that we rarely have information about cat compatibility as most of our foster homes don’t have cats. Adoption decisions are based on the best overall match and not done on a first-come-first-serve basis.
