Jack is a sweet and loving wiry-haired terrier mix.  Surrendered to a kill shelter by neighbors who tried to adopt him out themselves, when his owner passed away.  We took him out of a very full shelter to give him and his “brother” Taco, a chance to live.  They are now fostered together but can go to different homes.  He needs to learn confidence as he is passive around Taco, who is the assertive one.
Jack has been through a lot the last few months, going from place to place.  A little skittish but will warm up to you quickly via food, treats, and cuddles.  He loves to be held and talked to.  Jack just needs a loving family who can give him lots of attention and definitely a forever home.  He can be the only dog but if there is another one, this dog must be calm and non-aggressive.  He loves to explore the back yard and no, he does not chew furniture, baseboards, etc.  Jack has moderate energy, barks appropriately, but can be a cuddle bug as well asking for your pats and kisses.  He will be a great fit for a senior person.  Thank you for considering Jack and may he find his forever family, very soon.

Jack’s adoption fee is $350.00, which includes tax. This covers the vet exam, vaccinations, fecal test, dewormer, heart worm and flea/tick preventatives, microchip, and a pending neuter on 12/6/22.

Please be aware that we rarely have information on our dogs being good with cats as most of our foster homes don’t have them.
