Gladys is so GLAD to be here. She was an owner surrender along with another small dog for unspecified reasons to a rural shelter outside of Austin, and her companion was quickly adopted, leaving her behind! Her new foster mom took one look at that smile and knew she had to take her in.
While she is an older lady, she is in perfect health and being older comes with its advantages: she is completely housebroken, through with the puppy stages of destructive behavior, she has the distinguished manners of a lady and is still very spry! She gets along great with the rest of her foster mom’s pack.
She enjoys burrowing under blankets and handing out in dog beds or on the couch-which she can jump on and off just fine. She’s a talkative lady and even howls just for the fun of it sometimes.
Gladys’ adoption fee of $250.00 includes her vet exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, worming, monthly heartworm prevention, flea treatment, spay, and microchip.

Please be aware that we rarely have information on our dogs being good with cats as most of our foster homes don’t have them.
Adoption decisions are based on the best overall match and not done on a first-come-first-serve basis.
